Mongolia is well known for several goods, including cashmere and carpets. Mongolian cashmere is considered amongst the best in the world – both garments and blankets made of Mongolian cashmere can be found at stores and local markets. The Ulaanbaatar market (Narantuul) offers goods from throughout the country, including carpets from Erdenet and Russian-style riding boots that are used by locals throughout the countryside. Due to it famous copper mines located in Erdenet, many copper goods such as bookmarkers and other metal souvenirs and crafts can be purchased.
